Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are battling to keep hold of their fringe players at the Emirates, first it was Mathieu Debuchy seeking a move away from the Emirates in search for more playing time and now, recent reports suggest that Colombian international goalkeeper; David Ospina wants to leave this January transfer window.
The Colombian international has been linked with a move away this month but Gunners boss, Arsene Wenger says ‘’I personally think he is world-class; I did not take Petr Cech based on performances of Ospina. Petr Cech was just an exceptional opportunity where it was difficult to say no. It was not because I was unhappy with Ospina.
The Gunners boss hails Ospina’s performances for the club from January to the end of last season and admitted that the Colombian Shot stopper saved his side in many number of games and he is a valuable member of the squad but Petr Cech was an option too good to turn down.
Ospina claimed the number one spot from Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny after series of errors and off field incident; Szczesny is currently on loan with Italian side AS Roma and has been assured that he has a future at the Emirates, just like David Ospina.
