Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal have joined the queue of clubs seeking the signature of Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kourtney Hause. The 20-year-old centre back has produced some very impressive performances for Wolves in the Championship thus far this campaign and has certainly caught the attention of the Gunners.
Eye Football reports that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has had scouts tracking the youngster’s progress all season and recently had his chief scout monitor the England U21 international in action.
The paper further goes on to say that Wenger received glowing remarks from his scouting network on the player’s scout report and are willing to enter talks with the club for his signature, as they view him as a replacement for Per Mertasacker with the defender standing tall at an intimidating 6 ft 4 inch.
Hause, a former Londoner himself left the West Ham academy four years ago and later joined Wycombe Wanderers. The player was then snapped up by Wolves on a cheap.
His outstanding displays have led to talks about when and not if he makes a move to the Premier league. The Gunners would however have to act swiftly to beat their league rivals to his signature, with several clubs understandably showing interest.
Chief amongst them seems to be Everton with several reports claiming manager Roberto Martinez has targeted the youngster as a replacement for the in demand John Stones.
