Arsene Wenger is desperate to follow up the signing of Alexandre Lacazette with that of Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.
Arsenal are closing in on a club record deal for Lacazette, who is expected to undergo a medical at the club this week after a £52m fee was agreed with Lyon for his services.
However, Wenger is not prepared to stop there, reports claim the boss is still eyeing a world record move for Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe is also attracting interest from PSG and Real Madrid but Wenger is determined to sign the teenager ahead of his rivals.
According to Spanish Publication Sport via London Football, the signing of Lacazette will not stop Arsenal from pursuing a deal for Mbappe.
The report claims Wenger wants to pair the duo upfront next season and will continue to push to sign both of them.
Board members have already given Wenger their backing to pursue Mbappe and will release significant amount of funds for the manager to get his top target.
Wenger will be hoping to use his influence in the French transfer market to win the race to sign Mbappe, who is also thought to be open to the idea of working under his compatriot at the Emirates.
A strike force involving Lacazette and Mbappe will be devastating next season and will definitely tear Premier League defenses apart. The pair had 43 league goals between them last season and should they be able to replicate such form, it will go a long way in pushing us towards the league title.
