Yaya Sanogo could leave Arsenal in the winter transfer window, according to reports.
Few days ago, we covered a report claiming French Ligue 1 side Saint Ettiene are interested in signing the 23 year old striker. That has now been followed up by a new report claiming we are ready to dump the striker in the winter transfer window.
Sanogo moved to the Emirates in 2013 but has been unable to make any impact, only managing to play 11 league games for us without a goal to his name.
He was sent out on loan January last year to spend the second half of last season at Charlton Athletic where he had a relatively quiet spell.
In the summer, Leeds United wanted to take the striker on loan but Wenger blocked the move, we don’t know what was going through the boss’ mind at that time but the decision to keep the striker hasn’t proven to be the right one.
And now The Sun via The Daily Star claims Wenger is ready to get rid of the striker in January.
His former club Auxerre and Lens both from the French League are expected to join Saint Ettiene in the battle for his signature
The report failed to indicate whether Wenger wants to sell the player or loan him out again but we believe there is no reason sending the striker out on loan considering his current situation at the Emirates. The chances of him having a future with us is almost zero, so it will suit all parties involved if he is sold out rightly.
