Arsenal are interested in signing Hull City’s Josh Tymon, according to reports.
Tymon is a 17 year old defender who plays primarily as a left back for Hull City. The youngster made his Premier League debut for the Tigers last weekend against Sunderland.
We have reportedly been watching the youngster since our 1-1 draw with Hull in last season’s FA cup when he impressed Wenger with his performance.
He has continued his steady development since then and ESPN via The Daily Star are now claiming Wenger is stepping up his interest in the youngster.
However, we are not the only ones interested in the defender. Merseyside giants Everton and Liverpool have also monitoring the youngster’s development.
Hull are aware of interest in the defender and are looking to convince the player to sign his first professional contract but Arsenal are keen to beat them to it.
The left back spot is a position we are looking to strengthen in the long term considering current first choice Nacho Monreal is already into the final stages of his career while current understudy Kieran Gibbs is struggling to force his way into the first team. A talented player like Tymon will be a quality long term solution at left back if he happens to fulfill his potential.
A move to Arsenal will even put the youngster in a better place to become a top player considering the quality of values we integrate into our young players which helps them become top professional footballers.
