Arsene Wenger has reportedly told Olivier Giroud he won’t block him leaving Arsenal should he wish to leave.
Giroud started just 11 league games last term but still managed to find the net 12 times.
His goal tally for the season and his blistering form for his international team side suggests he is still hot property in the transfer market, hence no surprise he’s being linked with a move away from Arsenal.
And with Arsenal looking to bring in attacking reinforcements such as Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe, Giroud could be set for even less playing time next season.
The Gambling Times claim Wenger has now informed the French striker he can leave the club if he wants to.
Despite Wenger wanting the 30-year-old to stay in north London, the report claims he will help facilitate a move to a new club should he want to move onto pastures new.
