Arsenal are set to return for Gundogan at the end of the season.
Arsene Wenger is set to return to Germany in the summer for long time midfield target Ilkay Gundogan.
The Arsenal boss, who has been a long term admirer of the German star, is set to try his luck again at the end of the season to secure the players signature after a failed attempt in January.
Reports according to Kicker per the Metro are suggesting that Arsenal will go back for the 24-year-old at the end of the season with a new bid.
The Gunners however, will face stiff competition for the services of the talented midfielder from Europe’s elite clubs such as Barcelona and Manchester United – who have been credited with a keen interest for the Germany International.
Gundogan, given his gifted abilities in midfield would fit perfectly into any world class team set-up. And should Wenger go all out for him in the summer, he is sure to give Arsenal’s attacking midfield a different feel – combining well with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez.
However, the Borussia Dortmund star will be seen by some section of Arsenal fans as a tricky signing, with the player just returning from an 18 month spell on the sidelines.
