Arsenal and Manchester United are keen on Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio, according to reports.
Asensio has established himself as one of Spain’s most talented youngsters but struggled for relevance in Madrid’s first team this term.
The Plethora of stars at Madrid restricted the midfielder to cameo appearances last season and Arsenal are now looking to offer him the chance of playing regularly.
Yesterday, we covered a report in Don Balon claiming Arsenal have made a huge offer for the playmaker but it has emerged we will have competition for the winger’s signature.
Manchester United are also being credited with interest in the forward and with Mourinho looking for an “explosive winger”, he could just turn his attention to Asensio.
Juventus are also said to be keen on the Spanish playmaker as a replacement for Paulo Dybala who is being linked with a move to Barcelona.
Asensio is a very talented player, there is no doubt about his quality and that’s the reason he is attracting so much interest but his chances of leaving Madrid look very slim at the moment.
I don’t think a £50m bid will be able to convince Madrid into selling the winger, so we would be better off turning our attention to more realistic targets.
