Arsenal are keeping tabs on Nottingham Forest 19-year-old winger Oliver Burke, according to reports.

The Gunners are reportedly eyeing the youngster as a potential replacement for Theo Walcott or Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain. Walcott and Chamberlain have been linked with moves away from the Emirates as they seek regular football and previous reports also claim Wenger on his own part is willing to let the duo leave and replace them with highly rated British youngsters.

Burke appears to be on Wenger’s Wish list and the French tactician has ordered chief scout Steve Rowley to keep tabs on the winger’s performances, via HITC sports.

Burke has been impressive for Nottingham Forest since making his debut in 2014 and has made 16 league appearances for the Championship side this season, scoring two goals in the process.

Should Wenger step up his interest and sign the youngster, he will follow the path of Walcott and Chamberlain who also joined the club as teenagers. While the later duo have failed to make a considerable impact at the Emirates, we will be hoping Burke follows a different path and become a key man for the team.

Burke made his international debut for Scotland last month against Denmark.
