Arsenal are not prepared to give up on Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.
Last week, it was claimed that Arsenal had an £87m bid for the striker rejected, with Monaco claiming they have no intention of selling.
However, that hasn’t deterred Wenger who is keen to add a marquee signing to the squad this summer.
According to a report in the Daily Star, Wenger is set to return with a bigger bid for Mbappe. The young striker is attracting interest from a host of big clubs and Wenger is prepared to go toe-to-toe with others in the race to sign the forward.
Arsenal are now readying a world record £95m bid for the striker. The reports claim Arsenal have structured it’s bid in a way that it will put us in an advantageous position compared to our rivals.
Wenger is prepared to pay the large chunk of the bid in advance more than anyone else is prepared to pay, which gives us an edge over our rivals.
Should Wenger be able to secure the services of Mbappe, it will go a long way in fixing the strained relationship between himself and Gooners.
Mbappe has revealed he won’t make a decision on his future unitl after France’s internationals. Hopefully he’ll choose Arsenal where he is certain to get more game time.
