Arsenal’s wishes of one day landing long-term target Adrien Rabiot have been boosted.

The North Londoners have chased Rabiot for some seasons now, with Wenger, a massive admirer of the 22-year-old Paris Saint-Germain ace.

The midfielder has now hinted, however, that a transfer to England in the future is a distinct probability although he also announced he was a Liverpool supporter as a teenager.

“I think I would like to experience something else [outside Ligue 1],” said the France international.

“There are a lot of very good championships; it’s also very rewarding to go elsewhere.

“I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young.”

Alexis Sanchez netted a late winner for Chile to help them defeat Ecuador 2-1 in their penultimate World Cup qualifier.

The Arsenal forward tapped in an 85th-minute winner after Ecuador goalkeeper Banguera parried a shot on the side of the six-yard box straight to the waiting Gunners forward.

Chielan star had earlier seen his side throw away the lead as Romario Ibarra balanced for Ecuador with only eight minutes left. However the 28-year-old was on hand to win the match three minutes later.

Copa America champions Chile now move into third-place in the 10-side South American qualifying group with their victory on Thursday.

The top four sides reduce automatically for Russia with the fifth-placed team facing Oceania champions New Zealand in a two-legged play-off.

With just one game left, Brazil are the only South American side to have guaranteed their place.
