Arsenal suffered their second successive defeat under new manager Unai Emery on Saturday in a five goal thriller, losing 3-2 against neighbours and rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners have been hailed for their tenacity clawing back in the tag end of first half to make the clash 2-2.
Emery’s new style of play will take a while to sink in, but that will not be what the Spaniard will stay up thinking.
Welshman Aaron Ramsey is yet to pen to paper at the outfit suggesting he may yet leave the club if a deal to remain isn’t dickered soon.
Emery has pleaded with the club to keep the midfielder, but after sitting out in the game against neighbours Chelsea until the after the hour mark before entering the fray, it looks like a deal for the 27-year-old could go down the tunnel.
There have been strong calls to keep the Welshman at the Emirates, after seeing Jack Wilshere exit the club last month.
But former England boss Sam Allardyce believes the player should leave the club.
Allardyce admitted he was surprised and disappointed the player did not make the Spaniard’s starting XI and has go on to moan about it.
He told Beln Sports at the weekend: “What does Ramsey think of his new manager when [Matteo] Guendouzi gets in front of him, and [Alex] Iwobi?
“I would be sat on that bench saying ‘there’s no way I’m signing a new contract’. Iwobi’s been there quite a while…but he’s certainly not better than Ramsey at this moment in time.”
