AC Milan are interested in signing Jack Wilshere at the end of the season, according to reports.
Wilshere who is currently on loan at AFC Bournemouth until the end of the season is reportedly still a top target of the Italian giants despite their failed attempt to sign him in the last transfer window.
The midfielder snubbed a move to the San Siro in favor of a move to the Dean Court but that hasn’t discouraged the Italian side who want to still lure the midfielder to Italy.
Milan are said to have been boosted by Wilshere’s recent interview when he claimed he doesn’t know what the future holds and is open to a move away from the Emirates.
The 24 year old is keen to play regularly next season and doesn’t not want to return to the Emirates where there is so much competition in the midfield position.
And according to the Independent, Milan will make their move next summer.
Wilshere’s loan move was expected to help him build his fitness, having missed out on majority of the last two campaigns but we now face a fight to convince him that is long-term future is at the Emirates.
He wants assurances about first team chances before penning a new deal with us but that will be difficult because of the quality we have in midfield.
As much as Gooners will not like this to happen, there is a chance that Wilshere will leave the Emirates permanently at the end of the season as he will have just one year left in his contract by that time and we could be forced to sell him if he refuses to sign a new deal.
Wilshere is a big talent that mustn’t be allowed to leave, I will like to think Wenger already has a plan on ground to convince the midfielder to sign an extension because his permanent exit won’t go down well with many supporters, including myself.
