Arsenal have been given hope to sign Bayern Munich attacker Mario Gotze, according to reports.
Earlier in the season, The Gunners were said to be weighing up a summer move for the German international but it was Liverpool who were seen as favourites to sign the world cup winner.
Liverpool were very keen on the player, Jurgen Klopp who intends1 to build a strong squad at Anfield had been hopeful to sign the 23-year-old but according to Sport Bild via the Daily Express, Liverpool’s lack of European football has made a move for Gotze almost impossible.
Gotze is reportedly interested in moving to a club that plays in the Champions League, hence he has rejected a move to Liverpool.
According to the report, His representatives were keen for him to move to Liverpool and were determined to push through the deal despite the forward telling them he isn’t interested in a move to Anfield which subsequently led to the player parting ways with his representatives.
Sport Bild also added that the player is open to a move to Barcelona, Real Madrid or Arsenal as they can offer him Champions League football.
Gotze’s quality is unquestionable and Wenger must go all guns blazing to secure the services of the German international.
He will definitely complement the attacking midfield duo of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. Should Gotze move to the Emirates, he will definitely improve the squad.
